Flowz is a joint venture company formed by Apira and Kaleidoscope Consultants; both are companies that specialise in health and social care technology and compliance.
The two companies have worked together for many years and collaborated closely on the predecessor to Flowz, IAM (Information Asset Manager) launched in 2013.
IAM was widely adopted by health and social care organisations to support compliance with the NHS Information Governance Toolkit.
In 2015, Apira and Kaleidoscope started considering the implications of the early drafts of the General Data Protection Regulation and planning for a technology refresh to realign IAM/Flowz from ISO 27005 compliance to broaden and encompass GDPR article 30 and wider cross-mapped articles, recitals and guidance.
Flowz was launched in July 2017 and has rapidly been adopted across a range of industry sectors. A team of UK-based developers work full-time to introduce new features, driven by our active user forum and Flowz User Group (FUG) which meets 3-4 times a year.
Apira formed in 1997 and has focused solely in Healthcare. We have helped more than 220 organisations gain the most from technology and information in order to meet today’s pressing challenges, improving patient care and lowering costs, through all elements of the system life cycle, from Business Case, to procurement, to deployment, adoption and benefits realisation.
